Technical question

Hello there, Ken here.

I am a friend of Alan's and I always consult him regarding anything technical. Sometimes I believe his brain may be part machine! (it's not)

My cousin and I were chatting over fajitas the other week about technology, computers, etc. He told me about a chap at his work who had one of these iPod things. Apparently he can fit over one thousand songs on the thing! I mentioned that Stephen Hawking must have a very complex computer with a large amount of storage. So we got to thinking exactly how many songs could you fit onto Stephen?

If anyone knows, myself and my cous would be grateful of an answer. Apologies for the length of my post. Brevity, after all, is the father of invention. Bye for now Web Wizards.

If you're happy with a ballpark figure, a little birdy told me that the Hawkster weighs in at approximately half a terabyte (500 gigs). So - based on four minutes per song and 128-Kbps AAC encoding - we're talking 125,000 tracks. Biff.

he aslo has 2 1.5ghz processors and infra red control over domestic appliances.

Lucky sod!
