Andy Murray Starts 2006 in Adelaide vs Lorenzi

Happy new year! I'm going to kick off 2006 with an update on Andy Murray (18-year-old Scottish tennis sensation). He's about to start the new season at the ATP tour event in Adelaide. Currently ranked 64, Andy will face an Italian, Paolo Lorenzi, ranked 252 in the first round. Expect it to begin at approximately 5am, British time on Tuesday.

If Andy progresses he will face Tomas Berdych, ranked 24, whom he actually beat last year on carpet at Basel/Basle, although Berdych finished 2005 with a fabulous victory at the Paris Masters event.

Beyond Berdych, Andy would likely meet Lleyton Hewitt. Go Andy!
